MPAC CHRISTMAS PARTY! - Abbeville

Date: December 17, 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: To be decided (If you know a place that can seat more than 200 people at this date, please contact/post details to here – thank you so much!!!)
Time :6pm

This is an evening of FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!  for everyone!!!!, young and old, married or not, male or female!!  Everyone is invited to join in the biggest event of the MPAC Calendar Year for 2011.

Activities:

Exchange gift for kids (divided into ages 1-7 and 8 –Under 20)
Mechanics: Wrap your gift worth $10 or more on the best Christmas wrapper you can get your hands on. Decorate it with your favorite Christmas motifs and bring it with mom and dad to Santas table. Watch as the gift pile grows and grows until Santa calls up your name. After you tell him your Christmas wish (which he will in turn whisper to Jesus…), he’ll give you a nice gift in turn. That would be swell won’t it?  Ho! Ho! Ho!

Exchange Gift for Adults (who says kids only have it….)
Mechanics: When was the last time you had fun before? Or when was the last time you received a gift?  This is your chance!! Wrap any novelty or rather fun or joke item (any cost will do) and wrap it in the most imaginary wrapper you can think of… and leave it at Santas table. Make someone laugh this Christmas. It doesn’t have to be useful or expensive… just something that will surprise someone and make her laugh, you know… Santa will ask the receiver to open it in front so the more ‘fun’ you give, the more laughter we’ll have.

GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adult Games, Teenage games and Kid’s games!!! You tell us and we’ll make it work. And we are not talking about crappy games like chess or scrabble… we are talking about games where you pop the balloons with your bottom or roll an egg across the floor with an eggplant tied to your jeans... or passing an egg without using your hands but with only a spoon held in your teeth… we are talking about sack races and tag!
This will be a night filled with fun for the whole family and for all ages… Come and help us make it a night to remember.

Cultural Presentations
Dance the tadek, balangbang, pinanyoan and other native dances. It will come later on in the program but it is guaranteed to make you feel alive!
Do you miss the sound of the gongs? Does your feet itch to dance?
Come and be part of it!!

Kids Presentations, Teen presentation, and Open Floor for everyone
Do you have a talent that you want to share? Can you make us laugh? Can you pull a rabbit out of my ear? If you do, we want you!!
Tell us your talent (group or individual) and we will take you in. This will be a night we’ll always remember. Contact or post to here if you want to volunteer.

MUSIC!!!
Traditional, band music care of the MPAC Band, singers and open mike for everyone.

Prizes!!!!
Who doesn’t like prizes, eh? Who know, this might be your chance to bring home that unique mug or T-shirt that you will never find anywhere else, or that unique item you can display in your mantelpiece that will be the envy of everyone… There’s only one way to find out –Join us in the 2011 MPAC Christmas Party!!!

We promise, no long speeches by adults… no official pure adult discussions… This is a night of fun and enjoyment, no matter where you are or where you come from, we invite you!!!

…and you’ll see me as Santa Claus… which will be funny or something, hehe

*Venue will be posted once decided. Potluck format will be employed. Cook you favorite dish, place it on it’s pot and drive it to there. And then everybody will share the good company and the food…
